Magazine book analysis
To begin the initial research and to validate a hypothesis of magazine covers using the star system to engage readership, three different books containing the authors choice of published magazine covers were analysed. The general theme of featuring the chosen magazine covers was down to historical importance and the author’s personal opinions. The research was to simply denote the amount of ‘celebrities’ that appeared on the featured magazine covers within the published books. The celebrities were defined as anyone who at the time of the magazine being published would have had previous media coverage.
